Thailand has a huge and very vibrant gay scene, much of it not seen by the visitor. Areas away from Silom/Suriwong in Bangkok tend to attract mainly locals, while the bars around Silom/Suriwong are popular with foreigners, and those locals who are attracted to foreigners.
Gays can be divided into four main groups:
The cash rich middle class who socialize amongst themselves and meet in main stream hotels and restaurants or in friends' homes;
The poorer gays who can't afford to go the gay pubs or clubs and who socialise amongst themselves in friends' rooms or street side eateries;
Local guys who enjoy the scene away from foteigners:
And the group who are most familiar to resident ex-pats and visitors alike - the guys who spend much of their time in the bars, clubs and discos of Silom/Suriwong in Bangkok, Patong in Phuket; and South Pattaya.
This latter group is divided into 'money boys' and the guys just out for fun, but it can often be difficult to tell who is who. Thai guys are extremely streetwise and adept at using visitors to their advantage. Money boys can both be guys working in the massage parlors or go-go bars, or 'freelancers' working the pubs and bars in search of a trick.

First and foremost we believe that the business is made by the staff. We employ some of the most amazing people you will meet during your stay in Chiang mai - Thailand, they are all honest, fun, and able to help you out with pretty much anything if you ask. We have two teams who fill a morning and afternoon shift and a night reception manager to see you ‘home’ safely. The most common comment you will see about Seven Suns is about the great Thai staff! Come meet them and you will see why they have earned their reputation.

Some very sad and shocking stories on this website.
Pictures of the crowded cells in Samut Prakan Central Prison where up to 65 prisoners are crammed into cells originally built to house only 25 prisoners each. The majority are here for drug related offences. Some were sent to prison for 48 days for failing a random drugs test. Many prisoners are not convicted, either awaiting trial or their appeal. Many are in prison because they couldn't afford the bail or the fine. In Thailand, the number of drug addicts is increasing at a fast rate. Sweeping them under the carpet by sending them to prison is not the answer. They need help and they need it now.

"Sawatdee Khrab!" That is how we say hello in Thai. If you are a girl you will say "Sawatdee Kaa". When you are on holiday in Thailand, you will find many young people like me who can speak English. Most places you go to you won't have a problem. However, we like it a lot when we meet a foreigner who has tried to learn some Thai phrases. Most web sites and phrase books just write down the Thai words using Roman letters for you to try and read. That is a waste of time because Thai is a tonal language. You need to listen to native speakers. That is me, my teacher and friends! On every page you will be able to listen to us speaking Thai. Unlike some other websites, all lessons are 100% FREE! We now have over 1000 pages of free resources for learning Thai

Pattaya Park Beach Resort & Tower
While you are in Pattaya the visit to Pattaya Park Tower
is a worthwhile thing to do because at the 55th floor of the
tower you can see the breathtaking view of Pattaya City,
Pattaya Beach, Jomtien Beach, Ko Lan, etc.
The photos taken from the observation deck of the tower
is a memorable beautiful scenery. Going up to the 55th
floor is easy by elevator (about 1 minute ride). On the way
down you have the choice of using the same elevator, or
the cable car which is free if you pay 100 baht fee for
visiting the observation deck.

Today's hashing is a fun mixture of running and partying. Where men and women ( harriers and harriettes ) gather every week or so to follow a trail ( previously laid by other hashers called 'hares' ) for typically seven to ten kilometers through town, country, jungle, desert and forest. It's generally looked upon as being noncompetitive with the emphasis being on the 'pack' working together to solve the hares trail and finish the run more or less at the same time.

Even though transactions are more concerned with tourists rather than locals these days, the floating market;boats are still piled high with tropical fruit and vegetables, fresh, ready-to-drink coconut juice and local food cooked from floating kitchens located right on the boat.
To enjoy the atmosphere without haggling over prices, try relaxing on a guided boat tour of Damnoen Saduak market. Floating markets are Taling Chan Market, Bang Ku Wiang Market, Tha Kha, and Damnoen Saduak.

Help Us Save Thailand's Rainbow Heritage
Thailand is home to some of Asia’s, and the world’s, oldest and largest gay, lesbian, and transgender (GLT) communities. Since the 1970s, this country’s diverse GLT communities have produced a wide range of publications including periodicals and magazines, newsletters, information booklets, as well as advertising material and ephemera related to the many homosexual and kathoey-themed movies, TV programs, stage plays, songs, and popular culture events produced in recent decades. This large volume of Thai and English language materials is a treasure trove of information that documents the history of some of the world’s most important homosexual and transgender cultures.
While only produced in recent decades, these materials are in danger of being destroyed and disappearing completely in the next few years. Because of cultural sensitivities and anti-homosexual bias, established institutions have not considered these materials “worthy” of collection and preservation. Neither the National Library of Thailand nor any university or institutional archive, whether in Thailand or the West, has collected these materials. There is currently no public archive of Thai GLT publications and materials anywhere in the world.
